Jack Padgett became a teacher to change the world. Little did he realize that he did not matter. His principal did not want to hire him, his mentor teacher is coasting to retirement, and his wife gets deployed to fight in Afghanistan. His faith is tested when he is diagnosed with cancer and has to start missing days he is getting docked for. Then his wife wants a divorce. As he is about to give up on life and his faith, his wife suffers injuries from an IED while deployed. Now, it's a race against the cancer to take care of his wife who may or may not want to divorce him now, and to take care of a baby that may or may not be his. As he misses more and more days, his paychecks dwindle. Will his faith remain? Or will Jack give up the life after this?
